I'd like to institute what I call, THE Eight: 8 Plan. Our number one enemy which after several drinking sessions I sent tons of people to hunt down who turned out to not be our true enemy, who is Inverloch has one small advantage, numbers. As of this post, they're getting 4,258 votes on a daily basis.
As I sadly mentioned, we're getting 574 votes. If the chosen 574 each get 8 additional people to vote for our comic. We can get 4,592 people and bitch smack that comic down to two. The Inverloch creator will cry and of course shoot themselves because they are no longer number one and tons of people will flood the Eight wondering why the hell this comic is so special.
Then Steve will receive some kind of award and maybe more donations and more business and maybe a bigger hut than the one he lives in. I recommend, everyone showing every single person they know this web site and sending out inviting letters to everyone on their contacts list. As we speak, I am plotting my very own list and slowly gaining more support for the Eight. So, let's get this going!

My own assumption (and steve, u cant say i'm often wrong with those  ) is that we do our best to spead the word. -Talk enthusiasticaly about the site to friends at the job, write them the adress.... -Send a link to every one on our msn contact list (yes, even those that only contacted us to ask ASL or what size of bra u wear - Ahem, it happens :-P) -Put a link in our email signatures, forum signatures, u get the idea.... If we do well... we'll get the lift we need to get in the overall top ten. Then a very nice animated banner and maybe a new comic description will get us the rest of the way. :-D Sounds like a plan? |

You know what ? I think I'll make that a bi-annual event. The next Let's Make The Eight Number 1 voting marathon will be done on the 15th of october. Ok, technicaly that's in 5 months from now and not 6, but that will be to celebrate The Eight's first anniversary, or at least first appearance on the web. I'n just back from www.topwebcomics.com/ ... You know, it looks like my bad-timing curse was active again. As I told you earlier, The Eight was registered in 2 categories: Humor and Drama. Last week, before they revamped the site, The Eight was 7th on the Drama list, hence in the Top 10, hence the banner was visible, hence more visitors. Today, The Eight is NOT registered in Drama, hence banner is gone. Oh well, with all your efforts, we climbed into the 16th position. So, tell you what: If we climb to the 15th place by midnite, tommorow, I shall reward you by making extra efforts to give you ONE NEW PAGE A DAY FOR THE WHOLE WEEK. Yep, you read it right. Since I'm not sure I'll see Mazoku Chan next week, that means I can only ink, shade, put text and upload the next 4 pages she already pencilled, BUT I also have a pencilled wallpaper project, that I'll do and give to you all TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE. So, 4 pages + 1 wallpaper = an update a day starting Monday May 16 through Friday May 20. Ok, now that I've said it, I guess there's no way I can wiggle away from my word. ... Unless The Eight doesn't get higher than 16, of course. |

Hehe I've been able to vote tonight and now were the 15th of may... thus I change our moto a little....
The 15th, let's make the eight (at least) 15th!!!
On another note, I saw JASON in the subway tonight! Yeah u read right! The un-yaoi version of him! Every hair was at it's place even the stray ones... and I, ahem, even mistaked him for a girl at first glance.... that was an eery experience!

but that comc it with the stupid stuffy and stuff insonica was miles behind a little while ago....i also posted eight on krakow forums and counter coulter forums i think that kicked us up a bit.....i am scared at the amount of lurkers....so sorry for the non profiting wallpaper.  just so you know what it looks like. |
