PARODY: When toons meet

This is a short comic that I did back in the Spring of 2005, Story, art and color, for a comic humour magazine called Safarir. It was written in french, I tranlated it for your convenience.

The title is 'Scooby-Doo takes the Detour on Teletoon. Teletoon is our cartoon network here in Canada, and The Detour on Teletoon was the evening time slots, when they showed the more adult and/or tasteless cartoons like Billy & Mandy, Family Guy, Tripping the Rift, Delta State, Bromwell High and Undergrads. This short comic I did showed all of them interacting.




Billy, Mandy, Grim, Scooby-Doo, Bromwell High's Natella, Latrina and Keisha Marie, and Stewie Griffin from Family Guy.


Strip 5 and 6 of 9 of my parody. This time, along with Mandy and Scooby, you may recognise Bromwell High's Natella, Latrina, Keisha Marie, Mr Bibby, Iqbal, and Undergrads' Nitz, Rocko, Cal, Jessy and Gimpy.


Strips 7 and 8 (of 9) of my parody. This time, Billy and Mandy meet the characters from Delta State, Tripping the Rift, and the whole Scooby Gang


The conclusion is a lil' bit incorrect, now that the man is dead.

This what a page looks like before I add the speech balloons. The problem whenever I make a parody comic is that I always put way too much text, which can sometimes hide as much as 45% of the art. That is kinds frustrating, especially when I make a point of making the backgrounds as close as possible to the originals.
