Aren't all catholic artifacts made in Italy ? People seems to like the small details. What kinda bugs me is, I thought that it would be the bar code that would make people laugh. Oh well ! I hope you like Katia's improvised top just as well ;D

I love the top on her. Who wouldn't? ;D
*snickers* I just had a thought. Does the next strip involve Jason waking up next to some naked guy and freaking out? That would be hilarious!

I'll be dammed! Someone actually understands some of the absurdity of a cross being a holy christian item. Good work getting it at least half right. Not many get that far.

The older texts of the Bible use the word "Staros" when describing what Jesus was impaled on. Staros can mean pole or log or stake, but not a cross. The cross, like many other things, was adopted by the church from paganism to make the converted pagans happier. The cross represented a pagan god who can be traced back to Tower of Babel times.
This means your Preists use of the cross to scare off the vampire is was really a bad move.

I read somewhere that the cross is a variation on what northern people like the Viking were worshipping. In fact, it could well be the hammer of Thor.

That fits. When people scattered from the Tower of Babel, they took with them their Trinities and symbols with them and gave them their own flavors. The cross didn't enter Christianity until about 300 years after christ died.
Of course the vampire in this story, from what I can tell, is only 30 to 40 years old and wouldn't know any of this unless she spent some the last 15 to 20 years learning about parts of history that aren't very popular. I could be wrong, but she just doesn't strike me as a history major type.

Well, surpise: Katia is the daughter of a 400+something european witch. She was raised in witchcraft, and read all of her mother's books about the occult. She got especially interested in vampires, and how to become one, when she realised that, contrary to her mother, her 6 aunts and her grandma, she was not immortal, and... ... and I said too much already ;D ------------------------ EDIT: Katia's age(s) 19 at the time of death + 14 years & 7 month under ground = 33 ½ years old. How about that ? Just the age the Christ is reported to have died. Now that's a coïncidence that has no meanings, for I didn't plan it in advance.
