The Eight, chapter 2 (with new poll)

This is kind of the sequel to "what is The Eight up to". I think I'll have a new subject, one for every chapter.

Since people have been discussing about it in the past, I made a poll out of which established character of The Eight will be the next to be killed by Katia.

I'm glad you liked it. The first 4 pages of chapter 2 are pure comedy, almost to the point of slapstick, but then the pace will slowly calm down for more serious action.

Man, am I glad that the first chapter is done. Now that the players all are in place, the fun can really start.

i forgot there was the funny parts in this comic he he aww man the last panel pure quiality man. normaly its a fight going on but no he runs away!!! didnt expect that and very much true too life.

you should do some more coloured picture of each character so we can see what there supposed to be like such as you said there changes between katia and the jason katia so if there could be a side by side coloured picture would be nice.

Well, you see, even though the situations are not THAT realistic (Vampire girl possessing some boy's body and transforming it) I make a point of having behaviors and dialect as close as possible to real life. In this case: The guy knows the girl is a killer (he remembers the description the policeman gave him), he is uneasy because he is at the burial place of Katia, whose murder he witnessed and was kind of involved with, he was surprised by her sudden appearance, and he knows only Katia would know about the last thing he said to her, not to mention some physical similarities between Katia's original body (we'll see more about that later) and this one. Finally, the maniac smile she gave him, with fangs and all... I mean, even when you don't believe in vampires and reincarnation, that's gotta startle you, so who could blame him for running away.

But I'll tell you one thing: Mazoku-Chan is very much disappointed with this scenario. She designed Eau benite to be a cool looking cold blooded killer, not a pants-wetting coward. But that's just a phase he has to go through. I mean, the guy's been a priest for the last 10 years in a dead-end town, that doesn't much forge nerves of steel.

he also wasnt prepared to be doing any battling and the whole thing of kaitia being dead but there would get anyone running also the fact she is leaping for him more than likely too kill or give a great big hug and a kiss.

As I said earlier, the dialects of each characters are very close from whet you should expect from people with similar personnalities in real life. Sometimes they are serious, some very rare times they have tragidies, but most of the times, they are carefree and just wants to have fun.

For example, I've seen in some mangas some bad boys characters claiming very seriously "All I wanna do in life is have fun and get laid". Sorry but that sounds so phoney to me. Miroku, on the other hand, doesn't have to say it. Just by the way he behaves and the way he talks, you can see having fun and getting laid is his main preoccupations. And even though his speech pattern seems like something out of South Park, come on, we all knew at least one guy in our life who talked like that. But he doesn't push it to the extreme. remember when Jason thought Isabelle used a date-rape drug on him because Miroku said she was known to rape guys, Miroku says "Woah, time out" and he gets serious for the rest of the page. That's what a guy with a personnality like Miroku would do in real life.

Alexei is another interesting case: He is gay, and kind of cross dresses... Well, he wore a skirt to go to the movies. Well, believe it or not, just like in real life, just because he is a gay teenager and out of the closet, it doesn't mean his life is full of tragedy. His parents, friends and neighbours accepts him just like he is. He is not a psychopath (something young gays are often depicted as). The only tragedy in his life is: He is the only gay guy in the town of Harmony.

I mean, we know by now that being young and gay is sometimes tragic and hard, but that's not ALWAYS the case. I've known many gays and bisexual of both sexes. Only one had problems with it: His dad wouldn't accept his homosexuality. All the others all lived in harmony (no pun intended) and never suffered from discriminations.

And still, there are some clichés that I just couldn't escape. have you noticed that, when a woman becomes strong and leathal out of vengeance, it is because she was victim of violence and/or rape ? When it's a guy, it is always OTHERS who were victims. Take Batman, for example. It was his parents that got killed. The Punisher ? His wife and childs were gunned down. Why can't we do it the other way, for a change ? Why couldn't Frank Castle get raped by the mob ? Out of revenge, he catches criminals and humiliate them by fucking them up the ass. He is now the vigilante known as... THE PENISER !

Boy, I go from speech patterns to clichés to bad parody. Oh well, I think I'll go get some sleep.

i am very much like miruko such such as i would have said about the same thing as miroku did coming from the movies but i would have kept pushing the joke after someone said everyone would gangbang alexia and video tape it.

but you know how miroku is very muched liked in the comic in my life whith me being like miroku i wasnt very much liked.
but i never understood it my freind paul would switch it on and off while i was on almost constantly apart from a seriouse situation.well he would crack a very perverted joke or say somthing along those lines such as somthing had a double meaning and he took the sexual meaning as a joke well every one would laugh and go "paul your so weird ha ha ha "
me if i had done the exact same thing the exact same way and the same people the same situation efor paul had done it i would get no laughter and "your weird and sick go away" but throw in alot more swearing.

i had a point going. see my dyslexcia does this i lose my points and i cant summrise. oh well.

The reason I think he'll bite the big one (no pun intended) next is because Katia's going to kill all of those who wronged her, so he's just as viable a target as any. Plus, I don't think I like him too much.

The closest word-to-word translation for "Vade Retro" would be "go back". Vade retro Satanas = Get away, Satan. This is a classic quote, especially used in exorcism, probably because that's what Jesus said to Satan after spending 40 days in the desert.
