EDIT, Dec. 15 2011: These strips were thought to be lost forever in internet limbo since their original image host closed down. Well, I just found out this morning that I still possessed a CD on which I had burned them all into, back in 2006, just before the webcomic page disappeared from the net. Hence, they're back:

Yeah, I know, some are colored, some are not. Even though I have the complete Artiztech College webcomic strips, most of the colored version, it seems, had not been saved. Whatever! I'm not redoing them!

And now... The Toastmasters Saga.
















Ariztech College being a school, it can be full of characters, each parodying a popular concept from the mangas and anime. In this case, that duel/competition thing made so popular in the early 2000s with shows like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, BeyBlade, Medabots, etc.

Welcome to Photoshop Recycling Week










You have just assisted to the death of a character before she could achieve her full potential. Her name was Krazy Kay, she was scared of everything and everyone, a problem she solved by carrying around enough weapon in her purse to defeat an army. A situation which could have lead to many amusing quiproquos which would have resulted in pure clean wholesome ultra-violence.

...But I soon found that it was impossible for me to draw her hair in any angle but this one. So I made the both of us take the easy way out.

Minus the gun and the cowardice, some of her personnality has been recycled into Lilith and Evelynn 3.2

Max Perttula a.k.a Maxssession is a real Finnish artist, and he approved of his role as a music teacher in Artiztech College. he was supposed to have a bigger role, but the series ended before I could use his full potential.

There were supposed to have 3 more strips after the Principal gets into the office of Mme fatasse, but I never got to do them. See, I did the pencils, but after losing them, I couldn't get the courage to redo them all. So, I guess that means you'll never know how the girls escape this one.

Anyhow:




The fact that I was about to go to Myrtle Beach a couple of days later influenced the next 2 strips:






According to my planner, I have written 14 jokes for the Spring Break storyline. these last two are the only ones that I have completed. Too bad, for they involved lil' Leilany being very slutty

And now, one of my favorites storyline, the Toastmasters Competition:

And that's when I took the decision to put all of my energies into The Eight, because in no time at all, it became way much more popular than Artiztech College ever was.

Besides, even after 40 strips, my Artiztech art was still clumsy. This was my first experimentation with a more manga-esque art, and I didn't quite master it back then. Characters like Bernie and Mimi kept on changing body proportions. Mimi's face was giving me the hardest time. And all that for what? To create a webcomic that was hardly being followed. So with still more 120 written strips to do, I decided that was not worth the effort.

The Fillers

Every now and then, when I was taking a leave of absence, or when I was too busy or lazy to make new strips, I'd take some old comics I did years ago, translate it and give it to you as fillers. But hey, at least, they were all related to Artiztech College.

First filler is Sonic Steve. It's a good thing that I recycled him into the cast of the Artiztech College, since neither him nor his friend Sam evolved much.

Seven years separates the following story from their first appearance in the firsts Artiztech strips:

Filler #2: There is a reason Evelynn's got 3.2 as a last name. She had previous incarnations. And I gave you one of them as a filler once:

Even though I did that comic in the summer of 1995, it has been originally written and drawn in late 1988.
