Well, I got myself into a car accident today. Lovely little story behind that.
All right, I was driving to college today and I missed my turn. So, I decided to pull the car into a driveway and turn around, but as I was doing so, I hit this patch of slush and the car jutted sideways out into the road. Unforunately, there was this truck behind me and it got me right in the bumper in its attempt to avoid me. Fortunately, nobody got hurt. Yes, that includes me.
Anyways, the police came and everything got straightened up. The only problem is I now have a ticket for some speed violation. I'll probably just pay the darn thing since I'm too lazy to fight it. Dad was glad to hear that I survived, but I can tell he's really upset abou the car, especially since we don't have collision insurance on the car. (We don't have any 'cause we're in sort of a financial crunch right now and without it, it keeps the insurance costs down. I'm kicking myself for not staying on it now.)
The only upside to the whole scenario is that the car still works rather well. I had to duct tape the right taillight back on, but it runs just like always. It was the trunk that took all the damage and the only things in there were bags of empty soda cans. Don't ask.

You were supposed to bring them back to the store weeks ago?

No, I just got them from work. We gather up all the empty soda cans and divide 'em up amongst the employees once we hit a certain amount. Doesn't seem like much, but I'm in Michigan. We get ten cents for our empties here.
