Notes On The Eight

Hi, I have a bad memory and like to keep notes of things to keep track of stuff. I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to everything that's happened thus far. Hopefully, my notes will be helpful. It'll also be a good review during the long periods between updates.

The basics:

Chapter One[/color][/u]

Night One[/color]

Our setting takes place in the quiet little town of Harmony...[/u]

14 years ago, Katia was murdered at the age of 19....

Recently, she's returned by possessing Jason O' Bennett[/u], the would-be protagonist of our story...

Jason is the average young male who is friend's with a perverted Miroku,[/u] a flamboyant Alexei,[/u] the quiet goth Tristan.[/u] He's the object of affection of the would be-witch Isabelle who has connections to a large amount of drugs....

Jason's father mysteriously disappeared around the time of Katia's death...

Patrick O' Bennett, Jason's uncle was somehow involved in the murder and rape of Katia and left town. He joined the French Foreign Legion, earned the nickname Holy Water in French and later became a priest and returned to Harmony...

During the time of her murder, Patrick had four friends who were also involved. There was Michael[/color], a horny guy who was out of his luck and became Katia's first victim on her first night back. There's also Robert the local police officer, Brian the eccentric mortician and Joey the town counselor...

Day One[/color]

Once news of Michael's murder reaches Patrick and his surviving friends meet up again. Things point straight to vampires but Patrick wants to investigate first...

Jason is suffering from memory loss of what he did the night before and is having flashbacks of Katia's first murder victim. Miroku thinks he's trying to hide info about what Jason and Isabelle did last night.

As night descends on Harmony, things get interesting...

Night 2

Jason, accompanied by his friends and Isabelle go to see Chainsaw of Evil. Isabelle comes on to Jason but he resists her and later splits up from the group. Patrick returns to the scene of the murder 14 years ago...

In the woods, Jason has flashbacks of the murder. Suddenly, Jason transforms into Katia. As Patrick begs for forgiveness, Katia visits her old friend...

End of Chapter One[/u][/color]

Chapter 2[/color][/u]

Night Two Continued...[/color]

In typical priest fashion, Patrick tries to defeat her and discovers Katia isn't your typical vampire:

The Cross is ineffective and made in Italy.
Holy Water is just salty.

Katia spares Patrick and uses him as a messenger to warn the other three...

Katia modifies Jason's clothing to her liking and goes out on the town, having some fun...

She kisses a girl infront of Zack (Some wannabe player) and converts her to lesbianism...

The unknown lesbian's phone number is 762-3557...

She discovers a domestic dispute. Katia pities a young woman named Victoria Tate[/color] and defends her against Ray Goldman, your stereotypical asshole but, Victoria only defends Ray for hurting her, doing drugs and everything else. Katia decides, she wants some breakfast and makes Victoria a pancake...

Poor Patrick runs all the way through the woods to Robert's house and tells him they need to talk...

As night comes to an end, Katia has a psychic conversation with Jason and we learn some new facts:

Katia was a sorceress trying to become immortal by becoming a vampire.
She was killed in mid-transformation. Which is one reason why the holy objects have no effect on her.
For 14 years, her soul remained with her body and she tried to contact someone for help.
Jason was the unlucky someone.
Katia use to be friends with Jason's dad but Jason has no clue why he disappeared.
Katia has the power to modify bodies, which is why she can change Jason's body anyway she wants.
Apparently the whole time, Katia has been trying to summon Jonathan, Jason's father.
Katia's hold wears off in the morning.
Katia's spirit is connected to her remains. Not a fact but a proper burial or disposal of her remains could release her spirit.

Katia tells Jason she'll see him tonight and releases him of her hold just in time for his mom to walk in on him....

Day Two[/color]

Robert gets a call from Brian. Brian reveals that the body of Ray and his abused, now flattened girl have been brought in. Robert is horrified to learn Ray has bitemarks just like Michael...

Jason has entered a trance and Miroku takes the liberty of trying to snap him out of it...

Miroku plays a video game with him, buys him ice-cream, pays back fifty bucks but decides to enlist Alexei for help...

Alexei tries his luck but nothing sticks to Jason. Miroku has a conversation over phone with the ill Tristan and the two have an arguement, leading to Miroku mentioning Isabelle. At the sound of her name, Jason wakes up...

Jason rushes over to Isabelle's house. Isabelle is making a new 'fragrance' when he knocks on her door. Isabelle makes some chit-chat and ends up knocking him out with chloroform. With Jason unconscious, Isabelle dresses up as a nurse and gets ready to play with him.

End of Chapter Two[/u][/color]

Chapter 3[/u][/color]

Day Two Continued...

With Jason unconscious, Isabelle goes to work on making a cocktail of various date rape drugs. (Ask Steve for all your date-rape information.)

Isabelle gives Jason, Gravol Caplets to keep Jason from becoming nauseus. To make sure he's easier to control he's given GHB and Rohypnol in a mix of rum.

Meanwhile, Patrick and his Wicked League of friends have another autopsy meeting. This time, Katia's second and third victim, Victoria Tate (24) and Ray Goldman (26). For more on them, check my soon to be updated section on them.

Patrick is puzzled at what happened to Ray and wonders what his connection is. This time, he reveals that Katia Fayet is back to kill them. The guys ignore the fact there's been two men bitten and sucked dry. Before, Patrick can convince anyone, a nosey reporter shows up.

Scoop Salkowski causes a ruckus. He also notes this is the first murder story story since July 21st, 1984. Adding to how calm the place is. Robert of course does the cop thing and kicks his ass out of there. Still however, Scoop gets a letter telling him to meet there at Midnight with $4000 at the back door of the place.

Isabelle has fun with Jason while he remains unconscious. Jason's revived with some sodium and then undressed and then told he's been given a Penhotal Sodium which is called a truth serum but, it just more likely makes someone more easy to control.

Isabelle then brainwashes Jason.

Scoop in the mean time digs up information on Katia and finds out Robert, our policeman was once a great football player and had a romantic relationship with Katia. He however became a cop a year after the murder. To see an article about the thing, go to page 4 on this thread.

Brian reveals to the deceased Victoria that since Katia's come back, that he'll rat out Robert and make some money off of his scheme. He then has some fun with Victoria... dear god, the coffee...

Isabelle meets her father when he comes home and sends him to Maurice's. After revealing Jason is clean of any stds and other bad things, Isabelle announces its time to have some more fun.

And that's it until Steve makes more strips for me to note. On another note, don't use date rape drugs. They're dangerous.

Okay, last night I summed up things pretty good. Tonight, I'm going to just unleash interesting facts and tib bits about the characters. My notes are going to start with the first strip and end with the latest chapter. My notes are going to follow just one certain person and then start over with the next character so expect some loops.

Katia's first victim Michael:

Michael participated in Katia's murder. Katia was apparently killed with a shovel to the back of the head. Her corpse was raped and then buried....

Katia's body was buried outside the city limits of Harmony...

Michael, Katia's first victim died in an alley near Maurice's bar...

Michael: has no respect for women and has been down on his luck. He had a fling with a girl named Claire who wanted him but the feeling wasn't mutual. Michael's easily eager to accept Katia's offer....

It should be noted that Michael has no memory of killing Katia. He's either repressed it or never felt sympathy for his act...

Katia learns that Michael is 32. He would have been 18 at the time of her death...

Michael's a believer in safe sex and worried about STDs, too bad he never invested in Vampire protection....

Michael receives 10 dollars to be sucked dry by Katia's fangs....

Michael had enough blood left in him to fill a shot glass after Katia was done with him. His body was then stuffed into a trash can. Somehow his eye went hanging out of its socket.

His body was discovered at 6am by the Butcher's Apprenctice who was taking out the trash...

Eye witnesses reported Michael was confronted with Katia by 1:30am...

According to the mortician Brian, Michael had two puncture marks on both sides of his neck. Originally, it was believed to have been the result of an ice pick or a nail but the windpipe was left untouched...

Under orders from Joey the town counselor, Michael's body is exorcised. The head is severed and cremated. The body is stuffed with 17lbs of garlic. The heart is staked. Instead of embalming fluid, holy water is used...

Michael was one of six involved with the murder of Katia...

Those are the important notes. I think their pretty detailed. Wee, I feel like a crime investigator. My next post will be dedicated to Katia's possessed body, Jason. Feedback is appreciated.

And now on to Jason:

Jason is 19 at the time of our story. As the character card reads, he was 4 1/2 when his father disappeared. Jonathan O'Bennett is his father and Sandra Moore is his mother. His uncle is Reverend Patrick O'Bennett...

Jason has red hair and green eyes. He also has trouble keeping his hair in place...

Jason has a Bruce Lee shirt that's currently MIA and can't remember anything he did the night before....

Miroku is the first one to mention the idea of Isabelle raping guys. This lil message plays a bigger role later on...

On the way to Harmony University, Jason has a vision of Katia murdering Michael...

Jason has a close relationship with his uncle. Patrick has several photos of Jason. From a picture of a young Jason and his father to one of Jason: graduating...

Jason is weary of his experience from last night. He's reluctant to go out on the town tonight...

At lunch, Isabelle takes a lose string of hair and presents him with a picture of himself. Jason at first likes it until he learns that its made out of her blood...

Isabelle confirms that she didn't spend the night with him like Miroku suggested...

Jason goes with his friends to Chainsaw of Evil. Isabelle makes advances on him but he refuses and when it comes time for them to go Sub-Whey, Jason splits from the group....

Jason explains to Miroku that he believes Isabelle date-raped him and stole his $65 Official Bruce Lee shirt. Miroku's skeptic and as in Chapter 1: Strip 20, Panel 7 tells Jason he "shoud like her" and have sex. Jason leaves angry...

Jason unfortunately or fortunately thinks the taste in his mouth he woke up with had something to do with Isabelle. Little did he know it was blood...

Jason's justifications for accusing Isabelle raping him are:

1. His amnesia
2. Miroku's testimony of Isabelle being known to rape guys.
3. Her dad is Harmony's pharmacist and has tons of drugs.

Jason feels victimized and a martyr for equal treatment of women. He goes wandering in the woods...

Upon discovering his shirt, Jason suffers a tremendous headache and witnesses a flashback of Katia being murdered. He then is transformed into Katia....

Jason's first reaction to seeing his body is " Waaaaah! I have boobs!" Katia informs him that he doesn't really, she does however....

Jason and Katia have a mindlink at 5:47am.

Katia informs him that during this time, their souls can co-exist and also mentions that her spirit retracts itself into Jason subconscious. Jason also has limited access to Katia's memory which explains his flashbacks....

Jason's ID card says his birthday is Sep. 14th. Presuming this year is when the story starts, Jason was born in 1985...

As Mazoku-chan below pointed out, Jason is a Virgo....

Jason graduated High School pretty early, he's a Senior A at the University of Harmony...

Jason returns home at 6am, wearing his boxers as a top and becomes the object of humor from his mother...

Jason is in a trance and agrees to several things Alexei says to him:

1. Jason says huh-uh to getting a home lobotomy kit.
2. Jason says huh-uh to getting jerked off by a piece of sand-paper. (Ouch!)
3. Jason says huh-uh to getting a tabasco enema. (Whatever the hell that is, I don't want to know...)

Jason feels guilty about accusing Isabelle after finding out the truth. Jason leaves to see her and apologize, only to become a victim...

Interestingly, most of all. Katia seems to need Jason to come to the burial site to begin the possession like the last two nights. The humor is, his Bruce Lee shirt is also there. So everytime Jason goes roaming in the night to find his shirt back, he's destined to turn back into Katia. Ironic, isn't it?

That was more of a summary than notes. Hopefully, tonight's notes have made some things clearer though. I'll let Mazoku-chan choose the next character I take notes on. Peace and love everyone!

I am very flattered to see a reader take time to take all these notes. That means I'll have to be extra-careful about the logic and personnal history of each character.

Thanks, I'm working on final additions to my book I plan on publishing. It's 326 pages long and I need to fact check it before I even bother pitching it. 47 strips is a lot easier than 326 pages so this is a very good warmup for me. Taking notes on The Eight is helping me out and helping preserve my memory of characters and events. This training is very useful to my other career I'm set to go in so I don't mind taking notes on a certain subject.

Just request, I'll get notes on whatever character from what's available in the comic. I plan on making amendments to the notes though. Did you guys ever name the abused girl friend? I was thinking of dubbing her pancake lady. I know you can't have a vampire story without having one nameless victim but if you do, please let me know.

Can I invent names for people that have nothing to do with the story but are there to show off Harmony's small population? That'd be kind of crazy but funny. I'd get creative for five minutes and then it'd be a downward spiral, like the Matrix Trilogy.

Tonight, I'll just go over Katia and her other two victims. Even though my notes are already posted and lots of people have seen them, I demand something in return. More Meanwhile at the Sub-whey strips. Dexter is the fucking man. I think he could his own in some The Eight spinoff. He needs like some kind of cameo at the very least. I know I can't be alone either. All right, its nearing 1:30am Eastern time, we'll start the insanity with my next post. Enjoy.

My original post got lost in cyberspace due to an unexpected system crash. A lot of important notes were made and several speculations. So for now, I'll retype from memory. So, prepare to feel the power of the human mind, the thing that'll send computers back to oblivion if they don't learn to act right.

Katia, once again:

Murdered on her 19th birthday...

Sorceress, mother and six aunts are also witches, along with Katia's grandma...

Katia's murder is a pretty nice mystery. Here's what's known at the time up to her death and shortly after...

Katia was a babysitter, she wasn't unattractive but she wasn't on the skinny side, she still had her trademark pony tails from hell and her large breast that wiggle jiggle. She also had black hair.

There are five known people involved with her murder:

Patrick, the priest
Joey, town counselor guy, not the retarded actor,
Brian, creepy mortician and necrophiliac
Robert, generic fat cop guy
Michael, the first dead guy

It's also known at the time of her death, she had an affair with Jonathan , Jason's father...

Patrick's role in her murder was to lure her out of town towards the birch trees and the rock shaped like an egg..

Patrick knew about the affair. He told Katia she'd burn in hell for practicing witch craft and having sex out of matrimony.

The other four snuck up on her and when she least expected it, a shovel met the back of her head. She likely and immediately died.

The crime didn't end there, she was raped afterwards. Patrick was of course horrified by the murder, little lone the rape. Robert was the first to abuse her corpse. It's likely Brian got a kick out of this and became a mortician for more fun experiences.

Katia maintains that her soul remained with her body. Katia's spirit was forced to helplessly watch her body be violently raped by the four men. Katia tried and has been calling out for Jonathan but he disappeared around the same time.

A little chilling note: It's said the eyes are the window to the soul. The look of horror on Katia's face as she's being buried makes you wonder how much she saw of what happened to her.

As earlier established, Katia was a babysitter. Her affair with Jonathan probably began as she babysat a young Jason. It's unclear when she started but the affair was found out sometime when she was 18, going on 19.

Katia seemingly has no hatred of Sandra, Jason's mother. Up until the affair was discovered, the two probably got along well. The extent of who knew is another mystery. What probably transpired was Katia and Jonathan being exposed and Jonathan relying on his friends to take her out before it became a big scandal.

Katia probably had no clue if he was really involved since Katia just wanted to see him again. It's likely he loved her but, they couldn't be and probably the conservatives in town didn't like a witch anyways. Just like Isabelle, its plausible she was accused of making Jonathan cheat on Sandra.

Actually, its implied that Katia wanted to know what happened to Jonathan. This could have meant there was someone who didn't want them to be together. In another plausible scenario, Jonathan might have been forced to leave for reasons unknown as of yet.

Patrick was a wreck and decided to leave the country. Robert convienently became a police officer. Every one involved kept a tight lid on things and Katia was probably reported missing but never found. For 14yrs, everyone got away.
